A miniature is a small-scale version of a character that you can use to position on a battle mat or piece of terrain. By doing so, you get a closer look at intense combat scenarios and truly live in the moment.

Choose from some of the most iconic villains of the realms and display their remains. From fearful ancient red dragons to the hand and eye of Vecna, your decor will be second to none.

Just as these villainous foes require heroic blows to vanquish, so might your wallet suffer one. For home decor, maps and banners range from 60 dollars, while entire trophy pieces may cost upwards of a hundred.

While I do enjoy a good fiction book, my favorite piece of merchandise has to be a nonfiction book about an amazing fictional world. Combining both of these keeps me grounded in my reality but willing to explore creativity and options to bring the fantasy world to life.

I found the Heroes’ Feast D&D cookbook an amazing read. After creating some hearty Travelers’ Stew, I was able to appreciate how I could enjoy something from that world instead of longing for it. 

Other nonfiction books tend to do the same thing, giving you scenes and images of fantasy worlds, detailing lore and content without the trappings of a fiction book. A nonfiction book recognizes that this is a portal to that world and that your perspective in the real one is valid.

All of this merchandise serve as constant reminders that there is a world out there to discover and that sometimes, the line between that world and ours is fuzzier than we might think. To get the best of both worlds, make sure to shop for these items and snap them up before they run out!

Wondrous Clothes and Accessories

For something a little more personal, consider buying personal accessories and clothes. What better way to show your love for DnD than through your gear? While it may not be as flashy as glamerweave or a legendary wondrous item, it’ll surely impress everyone else.

Clothing may seem like the easiest merch to get, but there’s more to it. You want to ensure that your style is present in the merchandise you buy. You might want something minimal and understated or something casual but clear.

MTG Adventures in the Forgotten Realms

Worlds truly collide when both Magic the Gathering and Dungeons and Dragons meet. As a longtime fan of both, this crossover and its subsequent one: Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur’s Gate, had me hyped. 

In case you missed it, Magic the Gathering, or MTG, is one of the world’s oldest collectible trading card games. Also, under Wizards of the Coast, its collaboration with D&D was only a matter of time.

For fans of both, you can now enjoy the unique plane of the forgotten realms as a battleground for powerful creatures, iconic planeswalkers, and destructive instants and sorceries.

If this is your first time with MTG, consider buying a deck to play with. Otherwise, collect some new mythic cards and legendaries for your deck.

Included here are references to favorite characters from the D&D world, such as Bruenor Battlehammer or Tiamat. Other mechanics include dice rolling, dungeon delving, and one of the most important parts of combat: seizing the initiative.

Prices in MTG tend to vary depending on how powerful a card is. If you want to buy booster packs, expect these to be around 7 dollars. Sure, you’ll be trying your luck, but then again, you’re an adventurer. You’re always trying your luck.

Traditional Board Games and Toys

Surprise, surprise, DnD also has six other unique board games and a toy line for you to experience the fantasy world. Now that you’ve recovered from your condition let’s go through all of them.

• Warriors of Krynn
• The Great Dalmuti: Dungeons and Dragons

All of these are unique and fun experiences. However, what makes them so distinct is that the tone they convey is a refreshing and unique twist on the DnD world.

Take, for example, the warriors of Krynn. While still under development, the board game is meant to simulate massive battles with you commanding entire armies. Expect this to be released by the end of 2022 for more details.

If all-out war isn’t your thing, Lords of Waterdeep puts you in the center of intrigue in one of the greatest cities in DnD lore. Put plots into play and manipulate adventurers to advance your goal in this game of subterfuge.

Meanwhile, the adventure begins, and Dungeons of Mayhem puts you in a more adventure-type role. Adventure Begins with the roles of Dungeon Master and Player, while Dungeons of Mayhem has four players playing characters in an exciting four-way duel.

Another way to appreciate the game is through specialized figurines available as Funko Pop. Unlike miniatures, these are toys for display that represent some amazing creatures. I myself have an ancient red dragon guarding my socks back home.

To experience the world of DnD through a pair of fresh eyes, consider some of these games and toys. While not quite the real thing, you’ll be more than entertained by the end of it. Besides, once you’re done, maybe the party is finally ready for another session of adventuring.
